It’s new music Friday and you’re playlist is gonna love it. First, earlier this week Ella Langley announced her new album ‘Dandelion’ is coming April 10th, the title track is out today.
Next, they teased it all week, and by they I mean Hardy, Eric Church, Morgan Wallen, and Tim McGraw. Today it’s out – it’s called McArthur, and it’s not just a song, it’s a country music moment that begs to be listened to. A beautiful song telling the story of 4 generations.
Jamey Johnson just dropped a song that has the potential to be every bit as big a hit as “In Color” is for him. The song is called “More of What Matters,” and it deserves a listen.
Finally, don’t miss out on the new track from Ernest called “Lorelei” which is giving Jimmy Buffett vibes and Ian Munsick’s first song after signing his deal with Triple Tigers Records called “Geronimo.”
One of my favorite songs on KFDI is “Gary” by Stephen Wilson Jr. The singer is now opening up about what inspired the song. He said he saw a roadside memorial for a little boy named Gary. He guessed that the little boy died in a car accident, and he was so impacted by the thoughts of what that little boy was like and what he could have been that 30 minutes after seeing it, he got out his phone and wrote the song.
And Lainey Wilson and Whataburger have teamed up for a special day next week. In the new commercial, Lainey declares that Wednesday, February 4th, is ‘National Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit Day’. On Wednesday, between 6 am and 11 am, each customer will get a free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. Topeka or Tulsa are your closest locations; plan accordingly.
