After his Grammy win, Shaboozey is responding to criticism about his comment that immigrants built this country. He also highlighted the historical significance of the win. He issued a statement which included him saying, “Winning this award on the first day of Black History Month, and becoming the first Black man to win Best Country Duo is Black history; it stands on the foundation laid by generations of Black people who fought, sacrificed, and succeeded long before me. This moment belongs to all of us,” Shaboozey said.
Jelly Roll won 3 trophies at the Grammys and while one of them will be proudly displayed at his home, it’s what he plans to do with one of them that is just another example of the character he shows so trasnparently. His wife, Bunnie XO, says he plans to gift one of the Grammy trophies to the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center in Nashville — the same place where he spent some of his darkest years as a teenager.
and Hardy said it was a “bucket list moment” to finally get Tim McGraw to say yes to one of his songs. If you haven’t heard Hardy’s “McArthur” featuring Morgan Wallen, Eric Church and Tim McGraw, it’s a must listen. It was released last week, and Hardy is already diggin’ the superstar collab so much he said he’d love to do a whole McArthur album, and the good news is, all four singers have talked about it.
