Today, the AWESOME is found in Philadelphia. Tianna Graham, a 24-year-old fifth-grade math teacher at Community Academy of Philadelphia, saw her 2016 Honda Civic completely encased in ice after a recent snowstorm and stretch of arctic temperatures. Videos of the frozen car quickly took off on TikTok, drawing tens of millions of views. A Carvana car vending machine just happened to be in the background of her video. After it went viral, the company invited her to visit their facility. When Graham arrived with her mom and sister, she expected a small discount. Instead, she watched as a bright blue 2022 Honda Civic descended from the vending machine, topped with a large bow and filled with school supplies—and even an ice pick, which she joked she might actually need. Graham is already planning her first trip in her new ride: a drive to Ocean City, Maryland, for a National Federation of the Blind convention. The event holds special meaning for her, as her sister is blind, and Graham is currently pursuing a graduate degree to become an orientation and mobility specialist, helping blind individuals learn to navigate safely with canes. When kindness melts the hearts of many, THAT’S AWESOME.
