
In the last 24 hours, we have said goodbye to two giants. First, Robert Duvall, whose career spanned 7 decades and included films such as “The Godfather” and “Tender Mercies,” died at the age of 95. This morning, there is news that The Rev. Jesse Jackson, the famed civil rights leader who marched alongside Martin Luther King Jr. and later ran for president, has died at the age of 84.
The United States increased it’s medal count to 19 and today they are trying to add to that number. From big air and 2 man bobsled to speed skating and curling, the U.S. is still in the hunt. Then, looking ahead to Thursday, the U.S. women’s hockey team will play Canada for the gold.
Logan Paul has set a new world record for the auction price of a trading card. The wrestling and social media star’s rare Pickachu Illustrator Pokémon card, a “Holy Grail” for collectors, sold for $16.5 million Monday at Goldin Auctions after 41 days of bidding. He purchased it for $5.275 million 5 years ago, a pretty good return on his investment. If the winning bidder didn’t yell, “Pickachu, I choose you,” they don’t deserve it.
