With the ‘Rule of 3’ being tested and risking becoming the ‘Rule of 6’, the country music world and legend Dwight Yoakam are grateful he wasn’t added to list of celebrity deaths, all thanks to skilled pilots. Yoakam shared on social media earlier this week an apology to fans for being 90 minutes late to a show last Thursday, for a very good reason. The plane he took off in had a significant mechanical failure that caused the pilots to abort the takeoff. Yoakam praised the pilots for their skill in preventing a catastrophe.
It wasn’t if he would win this award, it was when. Congratulations to Jelly Roll; The three-time Grammy winner has been named the 2026 recipient of the Artist Humanitarian Award for his dedication to addiction recovery, mental health, and giving back to the community. He will be honored at the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, March 18-20.
and there’s a new exhibit coming to the Country Music Hall of Fame. The exhibit, opening in March and running till next year, is called American Currents: State of the Music, offering a look at standout moments and innovative developments in country music that took place across 2025. It will feature artists such as Riley Green, Ella Langley, and Zach Top.
