Today, the AWESOME comes from the slopes of Palisades Tahoe, and the video footage will have you holding your breath. Two skiers found themselves in the right place at the right time, as they were making their way through deep powder when they spotted just the tips of another skier’s skis poking out of the snow. Without hesitation, they jumped into action, quickly uncovering a man who was suffocating beneath the powder. All the footage was caught on the helmet cam of one of the rescuers, Carson Schmidt. If not for the timing of the two men skiing in that area at that exact moment, it could have been a tragic ending. Instead, the man fully recovered, and Carson said it’s a perfect example of why you should always ski with a buddy. The right place at the right time to save a life, THAT’S AWESOME.
