Today, I salute Marine Veteran Larysa Murray. Larysa’s commitment to service continued long after leaving the military. After five years in the Marine Corps, where she developed leadership skills in a male-dominated environment, she pursued higher education and earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Soon after, she joined Team Rubicon, a veteran-led group providing rapid disaster relief. Her first mission was responding to tornadoes in Oklahoma. That assignment solidified her purpose. Now serving full-time, Murray helps communities recover during crises. She encourages women to step into leadership roles and believes giving back—through service, volunteering, or disaster response—is one of the most meaningful ways to make a difference.
