Today, the AWESOME is in Marshfield, Wisconsin. When a massive blizzard dumped over two feet of snow on Wildwood Zoo in Marshfield, Wisconsin, manager Kyle Kirk stayed on-site for three nights to protect the animals. Despite being briefly trapped by the storm, he worked tirelessly to dig out smaller animals like quail, prairie dogs, and skunks and clear paths for others. He ensured vulnerable species, including foxes and cranes, stayed safe and warm, while some animals thrived in the snow. Kirk said caring for the zoo’s 27 species isn’t optional—it’s a responsibility, emphasizing that proper animal care must continue no matter the conditions.
and THAT’S AWESOME!
