Today, I salute Army Veteran Anne Padgett. Anne is an Army Veteran and former flutist and Russian voice interceptor. It was soon after leaving the service and returning to civilian life that she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, unaware she qualified for VA care. Managing family, career, and costly treatment, she later turned to the VA but struggled to secure disability benefits until Disabled American Veterans helped her in 2021. With VA support, she now receives consistent care while traveling nationwide in an RV. After issues with medication delivery, a VA specialist ensured reliable shipping. Padgett now lives actively, encouraging fellow Veterans with MS to seek early support and use available VA resources to ease medical and financial challenges. Thank you for inspiring other Veterans, Anne, and THANK YOU for your service.
