Trooper First Class Taylor Hersh and Corporal Jonathan Stoltzfus were on an unrelated call when a frantic grandmother approached them with a baby who couldn’t breathe. Acting immediately, the troopers rushed over and performed life-saving measures, quickly clearing the child’s airway. Authorities said their swift response prevented a tragedy. Hersh credited their training for helping them stay calm under pressure, while Stoltzfus noted troopers often handle a wide range of emergencies. Their actions turned a frightening moment into one of relief and gratitude.
