On average, families stayed 10 nights, though many remain much longer while children undergo surgeries, treatments or recovery. It costs the charity about $150 each night to house a family.

The 2026 RMHC Wichita Annual Gala will take place June 27 at INTRUST Bank Arena in downtown Wichita. This year’s theme, “A Night in Paradise,” promises an evening of elegance and purpose, featuring auctions, drinks, live entertainment and a seated dinner — all benefiting families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
