Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Topeka Veteran and founder of Operation Fetch, Lon Hodge. The other night Lon had his van stolen and all the donations inside, intended to help other veterans were gone. The van was stripped, everything taken, all except the ashes of his late service dog, Gander. Overnight, his story was getting attention from people all over and before he knew it, an anonymous donor, gifted Lon and his organization a new Chrysler Pacifica. Lon is very grateful and is now working on replacing those items that were intended to help other Veterans. Thank you for being a helper Lon and THANK YOU for your service.
