Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Arizona Air Force Veteran Darryl Petker.  Darryl is the owner of Honor Carvings. It as a 46-year hobby that started way back in shop class that now gives back to the fallen.  Darryl learned that a local officer had died in the line of duty so he decided to do something for the family and carve a badge honoring Officer Paul Rutherford. Since then he has given out over 160 hand carved memorial badges.  Darryl says he does it because he wants the families to know that this is a loss, not only for their families but for everyone out there.
