Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors a Veteran named Bryan. Bryan, a Marine Veteran, served overseas 20 years ago and said his skill could help the Ukrainians in their time of need. Saying he felt compelled, Bryan is leaving, just after his wedding, not for a honeymoon but for a dangerous trip along with a group of other Veterans and emergency responders. His safety is not the only thing on the line, so is his job who said they could not approve his leave, so he may not have a job when he gets back. Bryan’s wife Melissa said, “I didn’t know him when he was active in the service, but I have been there for the PTSD and nightmares.” Melissa hopes everyone can also recognize what our service members sacrifice mentally, and want a peaceful resolution in Ukraine so everyone can start to heal. She said she is so proud of her husband. Thank you Bryan for being a helper to the Ukrainians and THANK YOU for your service.
