Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran and third-grade teacher Tony Spencer. Tony always knew he was destined to teach young children and he never gave up on that dream. After his service, he worked for over 20 years as a bus driver, and at the age of 47 he graduated from Western Michigan, finally earned his bachelors degree in education. Tony says going to college was a journey and was the most excruciating, challenging thing he had done outside of his military career. Thank you Tony for your passion for teaching and THANK YOU for your service.
