Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran George Kellogg. Ten years ago, George, a former Marine and Purple Heart recipient lost his left leg in a motorcycle accident that occurred while he was driving home from his job as a bartender in Houston. George said, “Without it, I didn’t have purpose or direction. I didn’t know what to do.” That changed in 2016 when he was introduced to three-track skiing at the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic in Snowmass Village. He quickly picked it up and now, George has his sights set on the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. While waiting to compete for his spot, George is focused on giving back and helping others with disabilities experience the thrill and excitement he feels on the slopes.  Good Luck George, thanks for helping and THANK YOU for your service.
