Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors former Marine First Lieutenant Mark Phillippe, who 5 years ago achieved a seven-year dream, he opened his own microbrewery and taproom. Hi Sign Brewing got off to a great start, but soon challenges threatened everything. A three-year construction project near the brewery made it difficult to get to his location, then the pandemic, then he was the only employee, it was almost too much to stay open.  Then his military training kicked in and with a motto of “You Can’t Fail” on a sticky note, he developed a plan-relocate the business. 3 years later, everything is new: employees, location, equipement, everything. Mark credits his training for his determination, he says there are certain skills that never leave you. Congratulations on your success Mark and THANK YOU for your service.
