A 42-year-old man was arrested in Barton County on Tuesday after he was accused of hitting a woman with a vehicle.
Deputies with the Barton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of incident around 5:15 p.m. as the suspect was trying to leave. He was taken into custody.
Witnesses said the man and woman were involved in a domestic dispute when the man tried to hit the woman with a vehicle multiple times, and hit her in at least one of those attempts. Investigators also learned that the suspect had several self-inflicted cuts on his arm.
The suspect received medical treatment before being booked into the Barton County Jail on charges of aggravated battery. He is being held in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
