Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Navy SEAL veteran Brandon Webb. In 2010, he was struggling with back pain and his VA performed an MRI and gave him what he called an excessive, Costco sized bottle of opioids. Thankfully, he got a second opinion from a neurosurgeon friend of his who recommended yoga and swimming and it turns out surgery was never necessary. Since then, Brandon has tackled more extreme sports in an effort to maintain his physical and mental health. He also started “Hurricane Group” as a way to spread the word about the benefits of keeping physically and mentally strong, especially for those veterans suffering from PTSD. Thank you Brandon for your service and dedication.
