Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors patriotic New Jersey resident Tommy Pasquale. Tommy says he has great respect and reverance for Veterans in this country and he has several Veterans and active duty military members in his circle, so he wanted to do something to help homeless Veterans. Tommy decided he would walk from Manasquan, New Jersey to Venice Beach, California. It was a 3,000 mile journey, that took 143 days and one that used up 10 pairs of running shoes. At the end of the journey, he dipped his toes in the Pacific Ocean and had raised $97,935 for homeless Veterans charities.
