A crowd of concerned citizens packed a room at Bel Aire City Hall Friday. Many shared concerns about the safety of K-254. KDOT employees shared crash data and took suggestions on improving safety.
Highway safety engineer Steven Buckley says if they thought traffic signals would make K-254 safer, they would have installed them already. He also says putting in overpasses at every intersection would cost too much.
