Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Chris Coffland and his sister Lynn. Chris and Lynn were very close, best friends and the day Chris was deployed, Lynn dropped him off at the airport and they both knew he probably wouldn’t be coming home. Chris gave his life for his country in November of 2009 in Afghanistan. Chris always said he would wanted to take the place of someone else and let them come home. To honor his memory, Lynn created the organization “Catch A Lift” because the other thing Chris loved besides traveling was going to the gym. Catch a Lift is designed to help thousands of post 9/11 veterans regain the mental and physical health in the gym. Thank you Lynn for your dedication and thank you to your brother Chris for his service and sacrifice.
