A Wichita man was sentenced Monday to more than 5 years in prison in connection to the death of his 1-year old son last July.
26-year-old Kentrell Willingham had pleaded guilty in late January to one count of child abuse. A judge sentenced him to 66 months.
On July 28th, 2022, another family member who was the child’s legal guardian exchanged custody of the child with Willingham. The boy became unresponsive and died soon after at a hospital.
Willingham and his girlfriend, Xjohnna Roman Hannah, we arrested by Wichita Police in connection to the child’s death.
