10-year-old Rielynn Martin is awake and responsive after being critically hurt in a boating crash at Winfield Lake.
The latest update on Rielynn’s recovery says she is breathing on her own and able to respond to commands and questions.

On the afternoon of May 26, a speed boat collided with a pontoon boat, injuring an adult and two children. The crash is being investigated by the Winfield Police Department and Kansas Wildlife and Parks.
