Wichita police are asking for information from the public in a fatal crash that killed a teenage driver on July 1st.
Officers were called to the 2900 block of South Oliver around 10:20 a.m. on July 1st, and they found 19-year-old Gavin Phillips of Wichita. His vehicle was going south when it went off the roadway and hit a tree. Phillips was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

This was Wichita’s 17th fatality collision and the 17th traffic death of the year.
