As part of its recently announced designation as Wichita State University’s affiliated teaching hospital, registered nurses at Ascension Via Christi will receive a preferred rate for its online RN-to-BSN program, starting with the Fall 2023 semester.
Depending on how quickly they complete the 31 required credits hours, for many Ascension Via Christi nurses the up to $4,000 in annual tuition reimbursement for full-time or $2,000 for part-time associates could fully fund the total cost of tuition and fees for the program. Additional financial support also may be available through Ascension and community nursing scholarships.
The RN-to-BSN program consists of 10 classes, six of which are taught in 8-week sections, while the other four in the full semester, 16-week format. Degree completion takes three semesters or up to six years for part-time study.
Applicants must have an active RN license or, if a new graduate, provide a timeline for taking the NCLEX exam to meet eligibility.
