Officials from northern Oklahoma have been in Park City to conduct a search of property formerly owned by BTK serial killer Dennis Rader.

Detectives from the Osage County, Oklahoma Sheriff’s Office were at a property now owned by the City of Park City.   Osage County Undersheriff Gary Upton told KFDI’s news partners at KWCH that detectives were checking on missing persons and murders that are possibly related to BTK.    Digging activity was underway at the property on Tuesday.  No other information has been released.

Rader pleaded guilty in 2005 after his arrest for the BTK murders that took place in the 1970s and 80s in Wichita and Sedgwick County.   He is serving a life sentence at the El Dorado Correctional Facility.
