1. A monopoly trial against Google begins today, marking the biggest tech antitrust trial in over two decades. The Department of Justice, with over 30 state attorneys general, has accused the tech giant of violating antitrust laws by allegedly abusing its dominance in search and search advertising to suppress competition.

2. If you walked to the kitchen to get a beer at the start of Monday Night Football last night, you missed the Aaron Rodgers era for the NY Jets.  4 plays in Rodgers went down and had to be carted off because of what is feared to be a torn achilles.  The game was also the story as the Jets took the Bills to overtime and won the game with a 65-yard walk off punt return.

3. Escaped murder Danelo Cavalcante is still on the loose in the Philadelphia area and now police are warning he may be armed.

4. Signs might be changing soon when you drive through Emporia as Smucker, the Jelly and uncrustable company has acquired the Hostess company. Could a twinkie, uncrustable PBJ mash-up not be too far behind?

5. And in a small town in Portugal, the streets ran red with wine.  600K gallons of wine.  A local winery had 2 tanks burst which flooded the streets with enough red wine to fill an olympic swimming pool. No one was injured and the winery will pay to clean up the mess in what is being considered a wine headache of a different kind.
