An Augusta woman has died of injuries she received in a disturbance a week ago.
Police said 59-year-old Dana Haynes died Saturday at a Wichita hospital. She had been stabbed on December 14th during a disturbance at a south Augusta home. 58-year-old Jeffrey Carley was in serious condition.
Police arrested 28-year-old Wayne Riggins after the stabbing, and he was charged with attempted second degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery. Augusta police said they will meet with the Butler County Attorney’s Office to revise the charges against Riggins.
