Charges have been filed against a Wichita man in a case involving a tip about a Hutchinson man who was killed and buried at an unknown location in December.
53-year-old Jeffery Hill made his first appearance in Sedgwick County District Court on Thursday for a charge of second degree murder. He has also been charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Attorneys are scheduled to discuss the case on January 30th.
Hill was arrested after Wichita police got a tip that 50-year-old Jeffery Jones was killed. A body has not been found and police are asking for information from anyone who may have knowledge of the killing. It’s believed that Jones was buried outside Wichita.
