Wichita will have single digit temperatures and dangerous wind chills through the weekend.

KFDI’s weather partners at KWCH Storm Team 12 said north winds will be up to 25 miles an hour and gusty, and wind chills could be as low as -35 in parts of the state.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning through noon Tuesday for all of central, south central and southeast Kansas.

Frostbite could occur in as little as 10 minutes on exposed skin, so people are urged to bundle up and dress in layers if they have to go out.

Another storm is expected to bring light snow or flurries to the Wichita area for Monday.  Accumulations will be light, with a trace to two inches possible in northern Kansas, north of Interstate 70.   Southern Kansas and the Wichita area will have flurries on Monday.
