Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran Jeff Cook and the other Veterans benefiting from rehabbing at the VA with the use of Virtual Reality. Jeff is using it to slow the growing effect and challenges of his MS. One of the main benefits of the VR system is that it allows him to safely exercise and regain mobility, even now as he struggles with balance and is considered a fall risk. It also allows him to enjoy activities that he once thought had been lost to him. Jeff played raquetball in college and thanks to this new form of physical therapy, he can play again.
