Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors WWII Veteran Charlie Lentz. A couple days ago Charlie turned 105 years old. Family and friends gathered for his big day as he shared a century worth of memories with them. Charlie served during World War II and walked to church every Sunday until he was 90 years old. He also says throughout his life, he has learned a lot from his mother and keeps her close to him. In his free time, he still likes to get out into the community and rides the bus almost three times a day. One of his favorite places to eat is Bojangles. Employees know his order and have it ready for him when he gets there. Happy Birthday Charlie and THANK YOU for your service.
