Today’s 5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

1. The “Super Tuesday” dust has settled and it went as expectd. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump won almost every race, continuing on their trajectory toward becoming the 2024 presidential nominees.

2. There has been a 180 in Wichita City Council politics.  Mayor Lily Wu and the City Council have voted to allow business to begin making campaign contributions to mayoral candidates again.

3. The guy is good, convincing, looks like him and talks like him, but it wasn’t Patrick Mahomes.  Call it “Prank-Trick No Homes” as an imposter caused chaos in Omaha and Kansas City

4. The game is changing for college sports and its athletes.  In the latest move, The Dartmouth men’s basketball team voted to unionize yesterday. The 13-2 vote means the players will be allowed to negotiate on issues like compensation and working conditions, including practice hours. Dartmouth has until March 12 to file an objection to the union.

5. And…..we all survive the great Meta outage of 2024, some better than others. Apparently, some people in West Virginia  still don’t understand how social media works and who runs it. Kanawha County, West Virginia, home to the state capital of Charleston was flooded with calls from residents about the outage and asking them to fix it. County reps had to take to social media with this message, “To clarify… Kanawha County cannot fix the issues with Facebook and Instagram. Please refrain from calling to ask us to fix your social media.” The can’t fix stupid either….and THAT’S TRENDING.
