Today, we honor 66-year-old Navy Veteran Brian Brennan. On Easter morning, he’s going to take off in his 18-foot skiff from Pensacola Beach and start rowing toward Key West. He’s rowing 900 miles to the far end of the Lower Keys to raise money for the Disabled American Veterans organization. Brennan, a recently retired chiropractor who has worked civil service for the Department of Defense treating injured and disabled veterans, said he’s ready for the challenge. He’s hoping to raise $10,000 for the DAV to assist U.S. service members who have been disabled in some capacity while in service. Even before launch, he’s raised $4,310 toward the goal. Brian says, “I’m not worried about the 900 miles, I’m worried about that day, the next hour. Every stroke, I have to make it count. I need to stay hydrated and breathing right and stay relaxed and aware.” Thank you for helping in this amazing way Brian and THANK YOU for your service.
