The Wichita Habitat for Humanity organization will bring back a building campaign to create affordable housing for residents who need it.
The Air Capital Build campaign began in 2019 and it brings in aviation companies to help in building homes. The campaign will relaunch on Tuesday with a wall-raising event for three new homes in what is called the “Rock the Block” neighborhood. The event takes place at 9 a.m. at 1343, 1347, nd 1355 North Piatt, three lots adjacent to each other.
The campaign will offer volunteer opportunities to help build the three homes and opportunities to provide financial support by donating to Habitat for Humanity. More information will be provided as the campaign continues.
Habitat for Humanity is working on the campaign with Textron Aviation, Spirit Aerosystems, Leading Technology Composites, Inc. and other community partners.
