A Wichita woman has been charged in connection with a fatal crash that happened last fall.
A charge of involuntary manslaughter was filed in Sedgwick County against 41-year-old Valerie Palace.
The crash near 13th and Greenwich on October 24th, 2023 claimed the life of 71-year-old Billy Wineinger of Andover. Police said Wineinger had been involved in a crash and he stepped out to look at the damage. His car was then hit by Palace’s car, and he was killed.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
