Officials from Andover and Butler County took part in a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday to begin construction on a new emergency room facility for Wesley Healthcare.
The new location expands Wesley’s Emergency Care Network to five emergency rooms serving the entire Wichita metropolitan area, including freestanding ERs in Derby and West Wichita, as well as hospital ERs at Wesley Medical Center and Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER.
The new, full-service Wesley Andover ER will feature 12 patient beds and employ a staff of 26 when it opens in early 2025. The facility near Kellogg and Andover Road will also have full CT scanning and diagnostic X-ray services, providing a full range of emergency services to local residents.
