Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 24-year Navy Veteran Fernando Trujillo. After his service, Fernando grew his hair out, and kept it growing. Last month he decided to cut it off as part of promotion for his young brother’s upcoming National Guard promotion ceremony. Fernando didn’t want all that hair to go to waste so in honor of his own battle with cancer and in memory of his friends he had lost to cancer he donated all 28-inches of his hair to make wigs for cancer patients.
