The Sedgwick County Zoo is getting rid of its designated smoking areas.
Starting this Sunday, March 1, smoking and vaping will not be allowed during regular hours. Guests wanting to smoke or vape will have to go to the parking lot.
A statement from the Sedgwick County Zoo says they are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for guests, staff, and animals.
Smoking and vaping may still be allowed during adult-only after hours events, but that will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
