One person was killed and three others were injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Cowley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the collision happened around 9:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 77 north of Arkansas City, near Spring Hill Park. Troopers said a northbound car collided with a southbound minivan in the southbound lanes.
The driver of the minivan, 71-year-old Connie Hurst of Arkansas City, was killed in the crash. Two passengers, a 52-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl, were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the car, an 18-year-old Arkansas City woman, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
