Police in Derby are investigating a shooting that left a woman with critical injuries.
The shooting was reported around 9:30 Thursday night in the 800 block of South Sharon Drive, and police said it was apparently a domestic violence incident. A woman was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound and police later stopped the suspect’s car after a brief chase. A man in his 40s was taken into custody.
No other information has been released at this time.
