Today, I salute Veteran and Dentist Marco Gargano. Just outside Kansas City, Marco has a successful dental practice, and even though he’s no longer serving our country, he’s serving other Veterans like him. He knows firsthand how a lot of things, such as dental health, can fall through the cracks when someone leaves the service and gets back into civilian life. Statistically, 60% of veterans struggle with dental health, and 85% of those on VA insurance don’t qualify for dental coverage. Marco found those statistics very eye-opening, so now he offers free dental care for Veterans, like Clifford Jones. Clifford said the neglect of his teeth took a toll on his health and self-confidence, but now his smile is bigger than ever.
