Today, I salute Kansas Veteran Gary Graner. Gary enlisted in the Navy at 18, inspired to follow in the footsteps of his older brothers. What started as not having a plan after high school led to a 20-year career filled with accomplishments, including earning the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. Over those 20 years, he enjoyed a friendly sibling rivalry to see who could rise through the ranks the fastest. Gary says being commissioned was the most memorable thing for him during his time in the Navy. At the end of his naval career, Gary transitioned into civil service. Congratulations on your accomplishments, Gary, and THANK YOU for your service.
