Today, I salute Army and Navy Veteran Brian Eschen. Brian is the President of the Freedom Foundation and founder of a Veterans disc golf league in his area. The idea and the goal are simple: have fun and get other veterans out of the house. Brian says, “If I save one, it’s worth it; that’s the way I look at it. If I can make a difference in one veteran’s life, that’s a win.” Brian recognized how, after service, Veterans can close up, disengage, and isolate. His group changes that because it brings Veterans together to give them that sense of camaraderie that the military provided, which is hard to find in civilian life. Thank you for helping other Veterans, Brian, and THANK YOU for your service.
