Today, the AWESOME is right here in Wichita, and it’s found in a post from the Salvation Army of South Central Kansas, and it reads:
The tradition that has blessed so many children for years continued once again this Christmas. George Stover, his wife Annette, their granddaughter, and grandson delivered another collection of George’s handcrafted wooden toys for The Salvation Army’s Christmas Distribution.
This year marks George’s final time creating these beautiful toys, and we cannot thank him enough for the countless hours, skill, and heart he has poured into this tradition. Each toy represents years of love, dedication, and service to our community, an impact that will be remembered long after this Christmas.
George began making these toys years ago in honor of his late wife, Susan, who volunteered alongside him during the Christmas season. We are deeply grateful to George, Annette, their family, and everyone who has helped continue this legacy of giving.
