Texas Democratic lawmakers fled the state Sunday in a bid to block passage of a new congressional redistricting map designed to give the GOP five additional seats in the U.S. House next year.

News is just coming out about a United Airlines flight that had to declare a mayday shortly after takeoff from Washington Dulles International Airport on the way to Germany, due to engine failure.
