In a statement, the country music legend said he canceled three planned appearances over the weekend, including a Saturday night performance at the Grand Ole Opry, because he twisted or tore some ligaments or muscles in the back of his left leg while trying to climb into bed. The result was him falling to the floor, unable to move.
