K-State will not have class March 16 to 20, and classes will resume remotely on March 23.

The school says a sudden influx of students returning from spring break carries a higher risk of spreading the new coronavirus. By cancelling class next week, staff and students will have time to get set up to resume their classes online or by some other method. This system will be used until further notice. Students are urged to go home until in-person class resumes, but the school will stay open for students who cannot leave.

Visitors are urged to avoid campus visits for now. Large events on campus will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

KU and Emporia are following the same procedure.
