Today, the AWESOME is in Rochester, Minnesota. Tim Nela was at work at Townies, a local restaurant, when the bike he used to commute to work was stolen. It was not a good day for Tim, but the owners at Townies made it a whole lot better with their random act of kindness. A video posted by Tim shows the emotional moment he was presented with the bike — completely overwhelmed, fighting back tears, and struggling to believe such kindness was real. Guests at the restaurant even chipped in, handing him extra money to help out. Tim posted, “Thank you all for helping turn a tough situation into something hopeful—it reminds us that there are still good people out there.”
